Additional compensation beyond these amounts is factored into net adjusted income, known as ‘excess earnings.’ This, along with non-cash expenses such as loan interest, certain taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA), contributes to the critical measure of ‘Owner’s Discretionary Income.’
